FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is CraneOp?

CraneOp is the operating system for crane companies. It runs dispatch, fleet and load-chart capacity, quoting, compliance, invoicing, and the customer portal from one place, replacing the whiteboard, the spreadsheet, and the stack of disconnected tools most shops run today.

Who is it built for?

Crane and rigging companies that run real fleets and multiple dispatchers, from regional operators to large multi-yard companies. It is built around how crane work is actually scheduled, priced, and billed, not adapted from generic field-service software.

Does it replace our accounting system?

No. CraneOp is the operational system of record and connects to your accounting rather than replacing it. It can export a journal-ready file for QuickBooks today, with deeper two-way sync on the roadmap. Your books stay where they are.

Is our data isolated from other companies?

Yes. Every company is a separate tenant, and access is enforced at the database level so one company can never see another company's jobs, customers, or financials. Every money and dispatch action is written to a tamper-evident audit trail.

How does getting started work?

It starts with an operational assessment: we measure where the operation is losing time and revenue and deliver a findings report. From there, implementation configures the system to your fleet, imports from your existing tools, and trains your dispatchers and office, followed by ongoing platform support.

How is capacity and lift safety handled?

Capacity checks are deterministic. A quote or lift plan is validated against each crane's rated load chart before it goes out, and an operator whose certification has lapsed cannot be dispatched to a lift. The math decides, not a guess.

Can our customers request jobs and pay online?

Yes. General contractors get a portal where they can review quotes, track jobs, and pay invoices online once your payment rails are connected.

Does it work in the field?

Yes. Operators get a mobile experience for their schedule, job details, and inspections, and the office runs from any browser. It is built to be run from the seat and from anywhere.

What does it cost?

Pricing is custom to your operation and is scoped during the operational assessment. CraneOp is a consultative engagement matched to the size of your fleet and the size of the recovery, not a self-serve subscription, so we quote you after we understand the operation.

What if we already have software in place?

Most companies do, spread across several tools. CraneOp consolidates the operational core and connects to what you keep. The assessment maps what to replace and what to integrate so the transition does not disrupt live jobs.
