THE COMPANY IS RUNNING.
YOU'RE THE BOTTLENECK.

Three cranes went out this morning. Six foremen want updates. A GC wants a quote by lunch. The accountant needs Monday's ticket. Your annual inspection is in 9 days and the binder's in the truck. None of that needs you. All of it has you.

Crane Companies Already Running on CraneOp

The certification tracking alone saved us from a compliance nightmare. When OSHA showed up, we had every record in 30 seconds.

Owner
4-crane mobile operation, TX

Dispatch board is the clearest one we have used. The cert block on assignment means I never have to second-guess whether the operator is qualified for that crane.

The pre-lift checklist and lift plan generation are worth it alone. The paper trail we have now is what I have been trying to build for three years.

◆ The Manifesto

01

YOU DIDN'T BUY A CRANE
TO BABYSIT SPREADSHEETS.

You bought it to lift things nobody else can. Not to chase POs at midnight. Not to rebuild the schedule because Excel crashed. CraneOp runs the back office while you run the cranes.

02

THE BID YOU SENT TUESDAY.
PAID BY FRIDAY.

Quote → ticket → invoice → payment. One unbroken line. No more 90-day collections. No more rebillable hours bleeding out the back door. The money you earned, in the bank, before the next job rolls.

03

OSHA WALKS IN.
YOU DON'T FLINCH.

Every cert, every lift plan, every inspection, already filed, already current, already in their hand before they ask. Compliance stops being a fire drill and starts being a moat.

YOU DIDN'T BUY A 300-TON
TO BABYSIT SPREADSHEETS.

One Login. The Whole Company.

Dispatch Without The Phone

Every job. Every crane. Every crew. On one board. Foremen see ETAs. GCs see status. You don't see your phone.

Ticket Signs. Invoice Goes.

Field signature locks the bill. Bill hits the GC before the carrier hits the gate. Your 83-day wait starts the day of the lift, not the week after.

OSHA-Ready. Every Morning.

Operator cards. Annual inspections. Pre-shifts. Lift plans. Wire rope logs. Where the inspector wants them before he asks.

Know Which Crane Is Working

Hours billed vs hours sitting. Maintenance due vs maintenance done. Margin per unit per month. The 90-ton either earns or it goes.

The Right Operator. Already There.

Cards current. Hours logged. Job assigned. Pre-shift done. Before the gate opens.

Every Ticket. Every Photo. Every Signature.

Indexed, dated, locked. The day the lawyer calls, you sleep through it.

◆ Chapter Final

THE COMPANY RUNS.
YOU GET YOUR LIFE BACK.

You started this to run a crane company, not a billing department. You wanted equipment that earns while you sleep, not a phone that won't stop. Let CraneOp run the office. You run the cranes.

FAQ

Questions Crane Company Owners Actually Ask

How does CraneOp handle NCCCO certification expiry?+
CraneOp tracks NCCCO and CCO certifications for every operator with expiry alerts at 90, 60, and 30 days before the expiry date. Each certification is tied to a specific endorsement type (lattice boom truck, telescoping boom truck, etc.) so the system knows which crane types the operator is authorized to run per OSHA 1926.1427. When a cert expires, the operator is automatically blocked from clocking into jobs requiring that endorsement. You get an alert before the expiry; the operator gets blocked at expiry, not after.
Can dispatchers see real-time crane locations?+
Yes. Dispatchers see a live dispatch board with each crane's status: Scheduled, En Route, On Site, or Completed. Operators check in via GPS on the mobile PWA when they arrive on site, and that check-in updates the board instantly. You can see which cranes are active, which are staged, and which are available for the next job without making a phone call.
Does CraneOp work offline for field tickets?+
Yes. The operator PWA uses IndexedDB to queue field tickets, inspection records, and time entries when there is no cell signal. Everything syncs automatically when the connection restores. The operator sees a clear offline indicator and can continue working without interruption. This is standard on construction sites in dead zones.
How do field tickets become invoices?+
When an operator completes a job, they submit the field ticket on the PWA: hours worked, standby time, materials, and a photo if needed. The general contractor signs the ticket in the field on their phone. Once the GC signature is captured, CraneOp generates the invoice automatically from the ticket data and emails it to the GC within seconds. No manual re-entry. No word doc template. The invoice matches the ticket exactly.
Is there a mobile app for crane operators?+
Yes. CraneOp includes a mobile-first PWA for operators with a 5-tab interface: Today (jobs assigned for the day), Job (active job details), Chat (job-level messaging), Ticket (field ticket creation and submission), and More (certs, PTO, paycheck history, profile). It works on iPhone and Android without a separate app store download, and it functions offline on job sites without cell coverage.
What happens if an operator's certification expires mid-job?+
If an operator's NCCCO certification expires while a job is in progress, CraneOp flags the certification as expired and alerts the dispatcher. The operator is not automatically removed from the active job mid-lift because that would create a more dangerous situation than completing the lift under supervision. However, the operator cannot be assigned to new jobs or clock into new jobs on crane types requiring the expired endorsement. The dispatcher sees the flag immediately and can coordinate relief or monitor the situation.
